内容介绍 : | Ha-chai, Tai Ngau and Sophia are a gang of pickpockets who steal Old Mr Luk's money one day. Luk cries for help and entangles with Ha-chai. In emergency, Ha-chai pushes Luk to the ground. Luk suffers serious injuries. To evade the police, Ha-chai hides himself in a house where he unexpectedly discovers that the blind girl Luk Lo-ming is Old Mr Luk's single daughter. When she receives the sudden news from her neighbour that her father has an accident, Ming rushes to the hospital only to find that her father has died. Ming is heart-broken and Ha-chai leaves with uneasy feelings. The next day he visits Ming. The neighbour mistakenly recognizes him as Ming's cousin. Ha-chai thus makes the best use of the mistake without correcting it and decides to take up the responsibility of looking after Ming. He arranges Ming to live in a home for the blind, but Ming cannot get used to life there. Ha-chai then asks the nun Lee to allow him to take Ming back home and take her back and forth every day. The nun agrees. Ha-chai takes Ming out when he is free so that she can gain new experiences. Ming is moved and unexpectedly develops feelings of admiration to Ha-chai. One day Ming receives her cousin's letter and is shocked to find out that Ha-chai is a fake. But she is consoled by the nun who says that Ha-chai does not have bad intentions on her. At this time, the police have gathered clues about Old Mr Luk's case and issued a wanted list. Ming's school has selected her to take part in a fund-raising concert. Ha -chai encourages her to participate and she practises diligently. Sophia originally loves Ha-chai secretly, but resents him now for leaving her because of Ming. Tai Ngau obeys Sophia's instructions and tries to rape Ming in her home when the opportunity arises. Ming struggles hard. When Ha-chai has returned, he realizes that it was Tai Ngau who had done all these. He goes to get even with Tai Ngau and fights with him. Both are wounded. At the same time, Sophia is arrested by the police and under her guidance, the police also catch both Ha-chai and Tai Ngau. Ha-chai asks to see Ming and is allowed to do so by the police inspector. When he sees Ming, Ha-chai says that he has to work on board a ship and asks her to take care. Although Ming is depressed, she still participates in the concert and gets good remarks. Ha-chai, who suffers serious injuries, is in a critical condition. He begs to see the nun, to whom he discloses the whole story. He also sincerely asks the nun to look after Ming and to give her his cornea after his death so as to reduce his feeling of guilt. After his death, Ming regains her eyesight and has all sorts of feelings well up in her mind. Although Ha-chai has died, he lives in Ming's heart forever. |
