内容介绍 :	Uncle Chin earns his income by renting his place to many dwellers. A mean person and only likes money, Uncle Chin is disliked by all his tenants. Among his tenants there are Mrs. Kam and her son Chi-kwong, third aunt and her daughter Yin-fong, Lai-nan the dance girl, Agent Wong, etc. There are also bunk bed dwellers George Chan, Teddy Boy Ting, Gold, Wong, all have different jobs and professions, but live harmoniously together and look out for each other. Third Aunt tries to force Yin-fong to prostitute, and when other tenants find out, they call the police. When 3rd aunt is in jail, Mrs. Kam asks Yin-fong to stay and adopts her. Chi-kwong is beaten by the rascals and has to be hospitalized. Lai-nan takes good care of him by bedside, and the two fall into love. Mrs. Kam has difficulty to raise fund for Chi-kwong's medical care, and the tenants chip in to help her through but she has no further money to pay rent. Uncle Chin orders eviction from her unit. Everyone finds Uncle Chin a heartless man. One day, on his way home, Chi-kong is mistaken as pickpocket and arrested by the police. Mrs. Kam thinks that her son has become a criminal and is heartbroken. Fortunately Teddy Boy Ting gives himself up and Chi-kwong is exonerated. When he graduates, the Housing Department employs Chi-kwong. He finds a dwelling place for every tenant and himself. Uncle Chin is left alone. Soon Uncle Chin becomes sick, but he is too miserly to spend money on medical help and eventually dies in his house. Everyone is sad about Uncle Chin's endings.
