内容介绍 : | The two generals of the Chun dynasty Fu Siu-fung and Lung Sau-wan love Princess Dan-fung. On the day when the barbarian king invades the Chun dynasty, the king of Chun promises to allow the princess to marry the person who succeeds in driving the barbarians away. The barbarian king goes from victory to victory without hindrance. Siu-fung manages to deal with him with a great effort , while Sau-wan suggests the princess to flee out of the city for fear that she may suffer humiliation. The barbarian king captures the city. In order to keep their territory, the king of Chun and Siu-fung not only pretend to make peace with the barbarian king, but also agree to grant him the princess as a gift. To gain a respite, the barbarian king ceases fighting and orders his men to escort the princess to the wedding in his camp that very day. But Sau-wan and the princess misunderstand that Siu-fung has betrayed his country for personal advantages and thus nurse feelings of sorrow and anger. Siu-fung submits to humiliation in order to complete his important mission. But he has set explosives all around the barbarian camp and awaits the opportunity to attack. The princess uses the excuse of arranging trousseaus to postpone the wedding. She secretly co-operates with Sau-wan to plot an uprising, but it is a pity that the plan has failed and they are pursued by the barbarian king who attempts to kill them. Siu-fung disregards his own safety to save the two of them and blows up the camp. The barbarian king perishes and Siu-fung also dies because of serious injuries. It is only at this time that Sau-wan and the princess understand his good intention and are filled with grief. |
