内容介绍 : | In 1910 there is a series of natural disasters. Villagers Jo-fat and Hung-fung love each other. The second young master of a rich family wants to have sex with Jo-fat's younger sister Po-lei but is refused. He thus forces Jo-fat to return the farmland to him. Jo-fat, Who is unable to find a way out, decides to go to work in Macau with Fung Cheong. Before he leaves, he marries Hung-fung and is unwilling to bid with the trafficking of people and is trying to smuggle people to San Francisco. To support his family, Jo-fat has no chice but to obey. On his way, he becomes a close friend of chuen-luk, Muk -chai, Bill and others. They support and help one hide his actual condition from his family. The second young master intends to rape Po-lei but kills her instead during entanglements with her. As Hung-fung has discovered his action, she is being chased by the second young master and has to hide in a cave. Seeing that Chuen-luk's health is deteriorating, the foremen Kwan and Billy plan to bury him alive. Jo-fat denounces their evil design furiously. Three years later, numerous workers die one after another. Jo-fat and Bill want to escape back home. The second young master is finally able to find out Hung-fung's whereabouts. Jo-fat's mother is killed during the chase. On the other hand, Kwan and Bill have internal dissension and are both killed. Jo-fat seizes the opportunity: he makes a boat, escapes and becomes a fugitive. Several decades later, Jo-fat finally returns home. Although things have changed beyond his recognition, he is still able to reunite with Hung-fung and spend the rest of his life with her. |
