内容介绍 :	Ka Wong-suen, the young master of a rich family, forces the famous prostitute of Heng Fa Lau, Chau Hei, to marry him. But Chau Hei decides not to yield and prefers to kill herself by jumping into the river. She is saved by Lee Shu-lung, to whom Chau Hei is grateful. Shu-lung even gets the help from the fairy Mysterious Begger and incarnates as a rich young man. He competes with Ka Wong-suen in wealth and wins. It turns out that Shu-lung's family has been fishermen for generations. His father wishes that Shu-lung will succeed in his study so as to bring glory to the family. But after getting acquainted with Chau Hei, Shu-lung pays no attention to his study. His father begs Chau Hei to leave Shu-lung. In order to make Shu-lung concentrate on his study, Chau Hei comes up with a trick of sacrificing herself -- she pretends to get close with Ka Wong-suen. This trick inspires Shu-lung to make determined effort to do well and sit for the examination in the imperial capital. On the other hand, in order to escape from Ka, Chau Hei leaves Heng Fa Lau and leads a simple life with Shu-lung's father . But Ka decides not to leave her alone and forces Shu-lung's father to take Chau Hei to the imperial capital and look for Shu-lung. Shu-lung, who has failed the examination, receives help from the fairy again. He earns his living by painting and drawing. His ability is appreciated by Deputy Minister Cheung, who engages his daughter to marry him. On Shu-lung's wedding day, Shu-lung's father and the fairy arrive just in time to explain Chau Hei's good intention and to tell him that after hearing the news of his marriage, Chau Hei has killed herself by jumping into the river. Shu-lung rushes to the bank of the river and pays tribute to Chau Hei at night. It turns out that Chau Hei is not yet dead ; she only wants to put Shu-lung's love to her to the test.
