内容介绍 : | Emperor Chiu of Chai Kingdom favors Empress of the Eastern Court, Lam King-yuk. When it is known she is pregnant, she is all the more cared for and protected. One day, Emperor Chiu leaves the palace and disguises as a civilian. He courts a cabaret girl Man Lei-hung. Soon Hung is also pregnant. With Yuk's consent, Emperor Chiu prepares to take Hung into the palace. That intention is opposed by Yip Fung-chun, Empress of the Western Court, who also plots with her father against Yuk. Fooled by the trickery, Emperor Chiu issues an order to behead Yuk, who is saved by the execution official. Yuk gives birth to a son during her escape. She puts a chain on her son's ankle together with a blood written testimony; hopefully someone will find and raise the baby. Yuk then tries to kill herself, but is stopped by a priest with white eyebrows. When she returns to where she leaves the baby, the baby is gone . She has no choice but follows the priest and learns martial art from him. Hung also gives birth to a son, but the baby soon dies. Hung decides to tell the Emperor, and on her way to the palace, Hung sees the abandoned baby of Yuk, so she claims that is her own baby. Emperor Chiu believes the story and appoints Hung Empress of the Eastern Court. Sixteen years later, the Crown Prince comes of age, and Hung teaches him martial art. One day, the Crown Prince goes on a hunting expedition, and he meets Yuk, who tries to tell him the truth, but is disregarded by the Crown Prince. When Emperor Chiu dies, the Crown Prince becomes the new emperor. Yuk forces her way into the palace and meets Hung . Out of selfishness, Hung does not want the Crown Prince to know the truth, and claims herself to be the natural mother. Intimated by Hung, Empress of the Western Court takes Hung's side and accuses Yuk as an imposter. Nonetheless, the Crown Prince releases Yuk and let her leave the palace. When Yuk returns with help, Express of the Western Court and her father have started a coup, and Yuk is in time to save Hung and the Crown Prince. Ashamed of what has happened, Hung tells the truth. Yuk is finally able to reunite with her son. |
