内容介绍 : | Cheung Yuet-sheung seeks revenge on Hung Kam-lung, while her husband, Lee Hak-lim, almost goes insane worrying over her whereabouts. Yuet-sheung learns singing and dancing to gain employment at White Gold Dragon Nightclub, which is owned by Kam-lung. Kam-lung is attracted to her and wants to possess her, but she tells him that she will only marry him if he divorces his wife, Madam Chan. After the divorce, a distraught Madam Chan seeks help from Hung Kam-fai and works in his textile mill. Her uncle, Ho Hing-yan, reproaches Yuet-sheung, whereby she tells him her story and the two decides to join hands to bring about Kam -lung's downfall. They lure Kam-lung to the gambling table where he loses his fortune. At this point, Hak-lim appears and recognises Yuet-sheung as his missing wife. She exposes Kam-lung's wrongdoings in public. Hing-yan hands over the winnings to Kam-fai as funds for the textile mill. Yuet-sheung is reconciled with Hak-lim and they leave for home. Now bankrupt, Kam-lung attempts to redeem himself, but fails to obtain loans from anyone. On hearing that Kam-fai is to marry Yuet-ngo, he sneaks in to watch the wedding. When they notice him, he runs off to the nightclub, followed by the others. There, Kam-lung admits his faults and Kam-fai invites him to work in his textile mill. He promises to turn his nightclub into a welfare club for workers of the mill. He and his wife also reconcile. (Extracted from the film brochure.) |
