内容介绍 : | Barbarian from the north invade Central China during the Northern Song dynasty. The Song Emperor leads an army to repel the barbarians. The loyal Yeung family follows their Emperor to battle. The barbarians ask for a meeting with the emperor at the Golden Bank where they intend to launch an attack and wipe out his forces. Fearing a trap, Yeung Ling-kung leads his seven sons to the Golden Bank where they are ambushed. The three elder sons are killed while the fourth son is captured. The fifth son escapes to Mount Wutai where he becomes a monk. Encircled, Ling-kung orders his seventh son to break through the enemy lines to seek reinforcements. Marshal Poon Yan-mei betrays the emperor and orders archers to kill the seventh son. The sixth son breaks through the encirclement and reaches the emperor. Yan-mei is executed and the sixth son leads a regiment to save his father, but too late. Ling-kung kills himself rather than be captured. Finally, the barbarians sue for peace. The sixth son is rewarded for his heroism with a command of troops to defend the border. A golden sword of Ling-kung has fallen into the hands of the barbarians. The eighth sister plans to steal back the sword. With the help of her fourth brother she recovers the sword. However, the brother is forced to marry the barbarian princess. Brother and sister bid farewell to each other. (Continued in Part Two.) (Extracted from the film brochure) |
