内容介绍 : | The Chan sisters, Suk-fen and Suk-fong, are hairdressers who dream about being film stars, thus affecting their work and are dismissed. Their neighbour, David Lau, is a teacher. Suk-fong secretly loves him but he loves Suk-fen. Kong Sam-siu is a rascal who plans to cheat Suk-fen of her money. Disguising as the actor Kwong Shan-siu, he promises to bring her to the film studio for a screen test. She and Sam-siu are rehearsing their lines when Suk-fong and David overhear them. David thinks Suk-fen already has a boyfriend. Distraught, he is consoled by Suk-fong and they fall in love. David's school is holding a charity performance with popular film stars taking part. However, the big star, Siu Yin-fei, is unable to make rehearsal. Hence, Suk-fong, who looks like Yin-fei, is asked to replace the star. She performs her number and becomes an instant success. Meanwhile, Sam-siu brings Suk-fen to the studio for a screen test. The studio crew in fact are impostors employed by him. As the spotlight turns on Suk-fen, the real Kwong Shan-siu turns up; Sam-siu sneaks off and Suk-fen realises that she has been duped. Suk-fong later makes her debut on stage and is an instant sensation. Director Yu Leung invites her to appear in a film. David makes a public announcement that he is getting engaged to Suk-fong, to the chagrin and disappointment of Suk-fen. Knowing that Suk-fen dreams of becoming an actress, Suk-fong persuades director Yu Leung to give her a role. Yu Leung agrees and has Suk-fen's dream come true. (Extracted from the film novel .) |
