内容介绍 :	Chan Cheung and his partner Leung Bong write for the opera. Both pursue their career in Hong Kong. The two men have different approaches to life: Cheung thinks that one has to rely on one's own strength, while Bong thinks that associating with influential people is the secret to success. Bong curries favour with To Chiu-yip, the woman boss of a theatre, and persuades her to stage their work Mortal Fairy. At first the members of her troupe do not like the comedy, but is eventually convinced by the performance of the two writers. Chiu-yip is attracted to Cheung and invites him and Bong to stay in her villa. Cheung's one-night-stand, Lee Lei, turns up with a five -year old child, telling him that he is the father. Bong helps Cheung cover up by pretending that he is the father of the child, leading to much understandings with his own wife. Then the woman of Cheung's dreams, Hung Sin-na, appears to claim that she is really the mother of the child. Chiu-yip thinks that Cheung is married and cancels Mortal Fairy from the repertoire. Both men are also expelled from the villa. A down-to-earth Cheung now draws closer to the child and this touches Sin-na. She, too, takes up opera as her career and partners Cheung in Mortal Fairy. Chiu-yip finally finds true love with Chow Sun-yuk and team up again with Cheung and Bong. (Extracted from the film brochure.)
