内容介绍 : | Security escort master Fong Tin-lung, fleeing from the warlords, is separated from his wife, Leung So-ching. After the civil strife is over, Tin-lung sets up the Tin Lung Escort Service, using the "Five Heroes' Deadly Spears," his unique martial art technique, as a prestigious mark of his service. Meanwhile So-ching landed in Guangdong, staying in the house of Kwong Fei-fu, a martial art exponent, looking after his two children. Years pass and Tin -lung's daughter, Suet-zhen, grows up to be a formidable martial artist. When her father is injured after falling from his horse, Suet-zhen takes over her father's task of escorting a consignment to the south. Passing through Shaoguan, she has a confrontation with Fei-fu's son, Yuk-lun. That night, Yuk-lun breaks into the inn where she is staying. Another confrontation ensues, but with his "Five Deadly Spears" technique, Yuk-lun easily pars off Suet-zhen's counter-attack and steals the banner of the escort service. It turns out that Yuk-lun has been taught the technique by none other than So-ching. When Tin-lung is informed about the events, he comes south to settle scores with Fei -fu. The two masters, size up each other in admiration. Fei-fu returns the banner, with an apology. Tin-lung seizes the chance to test Yuk-lun's skills and discovers to his perplexity that he is trained in the authentic " Five Deadly Spears" technique. At this point, So-ching turns up. Husband and wife are reunited and the misunderstanding between the two clans is cleared up. (Based on viewing of the film.) |
备注 : | First production of the Yingpeng Film Company, and is distinguished by its bringing together of the northern and the southern schools of martial arts in one film, with dialogues in both Mandarin and CantoneseMartial Arts Director Leung Wing-hang is the disciple of kung-fu master Lam Sai-wingDirector's comment, 'The characters come from two different regions - the north and the south By putting them together, we intend to reflect the pain brought forth by language barrier This is one of the reasons why we made the film In China, we have many refined martial art techniques and skills which have become lost because of selfish reason to keep them "within family or school" instead of opening them up for improvement This is such a pity that is the other reason why we made the film' (Extracted from the film brochure)Martial Arts Director's comment, 'It's not difficult to learn martial arts, but it is difficult to achieve its virtues If martial arts is used to violate any kind of prohibitions, you will be chastised I'm fully aware that the objectives of the film are to exalt martial arts and its virtues, and I'm happy to partake' (Excerpt from the film brochure) |
