内容介绍 :	Millionaire Chin Lo-tai and his five daughters Lai-kam, Kwai-ling, Yim-yuk, Mei-hing, and Yuen-ang flee to Hong Kong to settle down. Their cousin, Lui Lok-tin , is a struggling artist taking shelter in the Chin household. Lok-tin loves Yim-yuk but she despises him because he is poor. Lai-kam has a boyfriend, Pak King-si, who has his eye on the family fortune. Kwai -ling loves her tutor Ma Siu-kei and both of them resolve to devote themselves to educational work. On the occasion of Lo-tai's birthday, the old man passes the management of his fortune to Yim-yuk, when he finds that she loves money as much as himself. Hence, King-si turns his attention to her. Disappointed, both Lai-kam and Lok-tin devote themselves to the opera. Meanwhile, Lo-tai is infatuated with gold-digging socialite Ha Yin-lei and takes her as concubine, causing much trouble within the family. Yin-lei has a lover, Kam Chung-sek, and they plot to grab the old man's fortune. However, Lo-tai discovers the plot and confronts Yin-lei. Both fall to their deaths in a struggle. The daughters now realise that they have to make their own way in the world. Kwai-ling and Siu-kei devote themselves to establishing a school for poor children, while Lai-kam and Lok-tin organise an opera research society, thus fulfilling their own aspiration.
