内容介绍 :	During the Japanese occupation, Ng Hoi-fung, a doctor, is arrested and totured for tending to the wounds of a young patriot, Cheung Shung. A grateful Shung rescues him. Hoi-fung, with his face ruined by the Japanese, vows vengeance despite the consolation of his wife, Pak So-fong. From then on, Hoi-fung's life is marked by self-pity and suspicion. Shung is impressed by So-fong's courage and persuades her to join the underground. Hoi-fung suspects he is having an affair with his wife. His sister, Hoi-ling, is in love with Shung, but he rebuffs her, putting the country's interest first. Hoi-ling is jealous of her sister-in-law because of her intimacy with Shung and taunts their relationship in Hoi-fung's face. An enraged Hoi-fung is about to kill him when the Japanese troops suddenly attack. Shung repels the enemy and saves So-fong, Hoi-ling and Hoi-fung. Realising his mistake, Hoi-fung decides to join Shung and the underground, and so do So-fong and Hoi-ling. (Extracted from a newspaper synopsis.)
备注 :	Screenplay's comment, 'In the years of Japanese Occupation the Japanese committed atrocities such as rape, debauchery, abduction, kidnapping and slaughter However, many people have already forgotten these atrocities Hence, I wrote this drama to rekindle their memories, so that those who survived the war would know the differentiation of good and evil, who their friends are and who their enemies are' (Excerpt from a newspaper article)
