内容介绍 :	Lam Chi-wah, an enthusiastic teacher, goes to Southeast Asia with a vision to educate the overseas Chinese. However, the locals endorse conservative customs and outmoded ways of thinking. At first, Wah proposes new ways of teaching, like virtuous education and physical education, but only very few students support him. He fails to win the trust of his conservative board of directors and is put upon by a pedantic colleague Keung. Nevertheless, when student Ho Yiu-man completely reforms after studying under Wah, and after Wong Chi-yan, the son of the Director of Administration, makes remarkable progress after he chooses to follow Wah, the people alter their distrustful attitude, and Wah's students increase. Eventually, Wah teaches along with his lover, To Choi-wan. However, not long after, Wan irritates Master Keung and the school headmaster, Wong Cheong-woon. In addition, because the people believe that women teachers are against local conventions , and because the decision to construct a new campus building is still pending, Wan decides to take off to Japan and continue her studies, but persuades Wah to stay and carry on. Wah is then also unwilling to leave his students, and he remains steadfast in his teaching post for thirty long years. His achievement is recognised by many generations of students.
