内容介绍 :	Lau Yung is a street martial art performer, living with his master Yeung Chi. Lau Yung's best friend is Lam Tsi-ching, who works for a newspaper. Tsi-ching meets Chi's granddaughter Siu-fung, and the two fall in love at first sight. However, Third Master Wong, a local bigwig, is attracted to Siu- fung. Third Master Wong, through the introduction of Chan Dan-ha, a song girl, and Siu-fung's cousin, arranges dinner with Siu-fung. Lau Yung is instructed by Chi to break into Third Master Wong's house and bring Siu-fung away. The next day, Yung is beaten up by the thugs of Third Master Wong, and loses his place for performing on the streets. Siu-fung, reprimanded by the grandfather, leaves home in search of Tsi-ching but both are pulled further apart as a result of deepening misunderstandings. Siu-fung seeks to become independent by becoming a song girl and is coached by Dan-ha. On his recovery, Yung takes up rickshaw-pulling. Chi, now regretting his hastiness, asks Yung to find Siu-fung and bring her back. But Siu-fung refuses to return, persisting in her erroneous ways. Siu-fung eventually falls into Third Master Wong's lap, having been made drunk, and is brought back to Wong's home. Third Master Wong is about to have his way with Siu-fung but he is stopped by his mistress Hung-luen. Yung, Chi and Tsi-ching arrive with fellow performers to rescue Siu-fung. The thugs are beaten. Third Master Wong is about to shoot Chi when he is himself shot and killed. Siu-fung is rescued, but Chi and his associates are arrested for the suspected murder of Third Master Wong. During the trial, Hung-luen confesses to killing Third Master Wong, being motivated by her despise of Wong violating virtuous young women. Yung, Chi, and Tsi-ching are released, but decide not to stay on. Together with Siu-fung, they set out on a journey in a quest for a new life. (Extracted from the film handbill )
