内容介绍 : | Both Kam Mui and Tai Un live on a boat and earn their living by taking their clients out to the sea. They often contend with each other for the sake of their business. When Kam hears that Tai has become acquainted with a rich young man, she refuses to give in and decides to change her image in order to seek more opportunities. As expected, Ho Kwok-ki, a rich young man, starts winning her heart when he first meets Kam . Tai's boyfriend is exactly Ho's cousin Ching-ming. It turns out that Ching-ming is fond of fishing and because he often travels on Tai's boat, he and Tai have become good friends. Ho teases Ching-ming for having fallen in love with a girl who live on a boat. As Kam is worried that Ho will turn a cold shoulder to her, she has been concealing her real identity. Frequently, Kam and Tai boast about having an ideal boyfriend and it is fortunate that the development of relationship of the two couples is smooth. When the parents of Ho and Ching-ming learn about the love affairs of their respective sons, they make an arrangement so that they can meet their would-be daughters-in-law. Ching-ming teaches Tai to pretend herself as a graduate from France, while Kam disguises herself as a young woman from a reputable family with a long history. Unexpectedly, however, Ching-ming's father has once travelled on Kam's boat and so exposes her true identity in front of others . Kam's mother refuses to give up and discloses Tai's identity as well. The parents of the two men are furious and oppose their sons' contact with the two women. But Ho is determined to depart with Kam and earn his own living by leading the life of boat people with her. Ching-ming, on the other hand, pretends that he is ill, thus making his parents very worried. Their parents are finally moved by the passionate love between the couples and agree to their marriage. Ho and Kam, Ching-ming and Tai are able to get married and set up a family. Everybody is happy. |
