内容介绍 :	Ho Wai-man is a poor musician who leaves his village in search of employment in Hong Kong. Before he leaves, he asks his best friend, Wu Wai-yan, to look after his wife, Chiu Sheung-ling. Sheung-ling is pregnant but keeps this a secret as she takes up employment as a servant in Wu's home. In order to protect her from his father, Wai-yan pretends to be the father of the child. His mother fears that the scandal will become known and moves Wai-yan and Sheung-ling to Hong Kong. Wai-man now leads a hard life by selling songs. One day, he meets singer Yeung Pak-suet and learns that she has made one of his songs into a popular hit tune. With Pak-suet's support and increasing friendship, Wai-man becomes famous. He returns to the village to look for his wife but learns that Wai-yan and his wife are in Hong Kong. Wai-man, suspecting that his wife is unfaithful, becomes intimate with Pak-suet and they decide to marry. However, unbeknown to him, Pak-suet is in fact Wai-yan's fiancee. The scheduled wedding day also marks the first month celebration of Sheung-ling's baby. As the two parties receive their respective invitations, they are surprised. Finally , the misunderstanding is cleared up. Wai-man is reunited with Pak-suet while Sheung-ling and son are reunited with Wai-man. (Extracted from a newspaper synopsis.)
