内容介绍 :	When Cheung Kau-wan and Yeung Sau-fong are born, the Empress Dowager acts as a go-between for the children of the Cheungs and Yeungs and bestows on them the exquisite spring lantern and feather fan as their marriage keepsakes. After the death of Imperial Censor Yeung, Fong's stepmother has an affair with Yeung Lung, she takes all the family's property and throws out Fong, her younger brother Wai-yuk and their mother, she also takes the feather fan. Fong sells herself to earn enough money to bury her father. Thus, she has to leave her mother and Yuk to learn how to play pipa from Lee Ying-keung. Fong reduced into prostitution, encounters her fiance Wan. Wan pities Fong and let her stay in his house. Then, they fall in love. Fong finds out that Wan is her fiance. She tells him to go home and then goes to Yeung's house to ask Yeung to give her back the feather fan. Keung is very jealous at Wan. However, as he thinks that he is poor and cannot compete with Wan, he sneaks in Yeung's house to steal. In the meantime, Fong is in Yeung's house. Yeung Lung refuses to give her back the feather fan, he catches Keung and forces Fong to stop seeing Wan again. Lung's concubine schemes to steal the spring lantern so that she may marry her own daughter Po-chu to Wan. Fong reluctantly agrees. Wan thinks that she cheats him. Fong's brother, the newly appointed inspector general, upholds justice. The couple is rightfully matched.
