内容介绍 :	Lawyer Chan Mon-gut has a close relationship with his student Ho Foon. However, since both of them are in love with Lotus, they break up and Foon goes from Guangzhou to Hong Kong. Mon-gut's marriage is in crisis. In order to save the marriage, his wife Wu Man gives up her study in the UK and comes back to Mon-kat. Sir Ho Sai's illegitimate son Ho Nim-sai dies. This means his legacy will automatically be given to his oldest son Ho Chung, a prosecutor at court. He is responsible for Ho Chun's murder case, and the suspect is Foon. Knowing that his student is framed, Mon-kat goes to Hong Kong with Yan to defend for Foon. After investigations, Mon-kat finds out that Foon is in fact the illegitimate son of Sir Ho, Nim-sai. At first, Ho Chung used Ho Chun to cheat his father. He then killed Ho Chun to keep the secret. When he realizes that Foon is his half brother, he frames him by accusing him of being the murderer of Ho Chun. Although Sir Ho attends at the court, he dies of heart attack before he makes a vow. Therefore his words cannot be taken into account. Being unfamiliar with the British law, Mon-gut loses the case and Foon is sentenced to death. Fortunately, after taking the hanging penalty, Foon is not dead. Mon-gut insists in the fact that Foon has taken his penalty and has to be released at once. The judge accepts Mon-kat's argument and Foon marries Lotus while Mon- gut reconciles with Yan.
