Kin-man sends him into exile and refuses to allow Ye to follow him. Ye plans to run away with Yi-fui secretly but is prevented by Kin-man. The emperor is afraid that Yi-fui will lose his will and morale if he is madly clung to Ye. He hopes that Yi-fui will work with a will to make the country strong. Yi-fui goes to the neighbouring country to borrow its soldiers and pretends to get married with the princess. Two years later, the princess gives birth to Siu-kwai. Yi-fui only thinks of how to get back his state power and women. He leads an army into Kin-man's palace by the side entrance and starts to kill. Kin-man flees to a Buddhist temple, where he is forced by Yi-fui to shave his head and become a monk. Ye sighs that Yi-fui is cruel and promises to get back the throne for Kin-man. She steals the precious sword and Yi-fui plans to kill her. At this time, Kin-man arrives with his army and Yi-fui injures him with a secret weapon. When the princess reaches the spot, she gives a coffin to Yi-fui as a gift. Yi-fui accuses and blames Ye and Kin-man for framing him up, but both Ye and Kin-man claim that he can only blame himself. Ye allows Hoi to kill Yi-fui, who hands in the imperial jade seal before his death. Ye also sacrifices her life for love by cutting her own throat. The others are sad and Kin-man confers Siu-kwai as emperor. |
