内容介绍 :	Kan Yin-ching makes his lodging in an inn. When he sees the landscape painting drawn by Lotus Luk, a lady of wisdom and ability, he likes it very much. Lotus realizes that Ching appreciates her painting and she is pleased to have a friend who keenly appreciates her talents. The two of them understand what each other thinks and become engaged. In the night of the Mid-Autumn Festival, Ching reluctantly postpones his wedding with Lotus, in order to visit his sickly mother back in his home village. Lotus’s parents blame him for breaking his promise. Fortunately, Uncle Po delivers Ching's letter and they feel that Ching is an obedient son. Magistrate Got Yan keeps a covetous eye on Lotus's beauty. Yan fails to coerce Lotus into becoming his concubine and seeks revenge. He defames her father for collaborating with robbers. Lotus's mother is killed and her father is locked up. When Ching has returned, he is informed by Uncle Po about the incident. He meets Lotus secretly and begs Yan to let her go. Yan pretends to agree, while Lotus is confined to an official's residence. A fire breaks out and Yan claims that Lotus is dead already. By chance, Uncle Po meets Lotus, he asks her to write down her experience and he will spread it out for her. Yan sends his men to pursue and kill Ching. Ching is saved by Master Kam Chin. The inspector general is touring the district incognito, and sentences Yan to death for his crime. The lovers are united at last.
