内容介绍 :	In the 1960s, corruption of police is a very serious problem and there are many unfair verdicts. Reporter Chin An is not afraid of those people in power and exposes their wrongdoing. The police resents An because he refuses to be bribed. Cheung Yiu-joe frames An for hiding drugs. As An is afraid that his mother and younger brother will get hurt, he choose to plea guilty. He is sentenced to prison for three years. In the prison, An is forced to catch other prisoners' urine. Though he loves Jess Tsai, he does not want her to pity him and he asks for breakup. On refuses to bribe the police and is always beaten. When he knows that his mother has a traffic accident and dies, he is very upset. But it makes him even tougher to resist against the "black" power. Prison guard "Inhumane" takes revenge on prisoner "Three Legs" and kills him. The prisoners are furious. Brother Nan calls a hunger strike and On decides to report the incident. Inhumane beats the prisoners who are on hunger strike. The police chief inspector reads about On's report and suspends Inhumane. The prisoners are very happy. Jess asks Wan Chi-hoo to frame Cheung and send him to prison . Cheung wants to kill An but accidentally kills Fei Kei-mok. Then, Chang is killed by Brother Nan. After An is released, he decides to write a book titled "Life's Ups and Downs" in the memories of Plane and Three Legs whom he met in the prison, and his mother and Jess who is waiting for him outside the prison.
