内容介绍 : | Newspaper vendor Tang Tai-kwong, being a muddlehead, is nicknamed "Big Bright Lamp". He quits his job as he mistakes that he has won the lottery. Then he reads on the newspapers that millionaire Koo Hung-dok is looking for prospective sons-in-law. Responding to this ad, Tai-kwong discovers that Hung-dok's daughter Ah Sze is an ugly woman and that a beautiful maid Ah Fun is the one he desires. However, Ah Sze loves Tai-kwong. Tai-kwong brings along his sister Ah Bik to the Koo home to attend a banquet where Ah Bik meets the young master Ah Cheuk, who falls to her at first sight . Meanwhile, old man Hung-dok tries to force Tai-kwong into marrying Ah Sze. With the help of Ah Fun, Tai-kwong manages to wriggle out of Hung-dok's pursuit. Next, Hung-dok tries to spike Tai-kwong's drink and exact a promise from him to marry Ah Sze. Once again, Ah Fun comes to the rescue. An angry Hung-dok dismisses Ah Fun, who joins Tai-kwong on the streets to sing for a living and sell olives. Meanwhile, Ah Cheuk, under the influence of Ah Bik, decides to stand on his own two feet for the love of Ah Bik. It is Ah Cheuk who finally persuades his father not to force Tai-kwong into an unwanted marriage with Ah Sze. In the end, Ah Cheuk marries Ah Bik, while Tai-kwong marries Ah Fun.
