内容介绍 :	Fleeing the war, the twin daughters of Ma Pak-sing were separated. The younger daughter, Man-ling, was entrusted to Yeung Kai-wah and his wife. Twenty years later, the older twin, Kwai-zhen, falls in love with Chun Tat-ming and carries his child. However, because the family is heavily in debt, Pak-sing consents to let Kwai-zhen become the concubine of Master Wong in return for money . Tat-ming goes to the city to earn money to pay off the Ma family debt, but on his return, he cannot find Kwai-zhen and her father. Tat-ming finds a new job. His boss turns out to be Kai- wah who brought up Man-ling. Man-ling has just graduated from her studies in Shanghai. She falls in love with Tat-ming at first sight and presses him into a quick marriage. Though his heart still belongs to Kwai-zhen, Tat -ming agrees to marry her. They have a daughter after marriage. Meanwhile, after failing to find Tat-ming, Kwai-zhen gives birth to his son, and is facing hardship in making ends meet. She finds a job as a nursing maid in the Yeung family home, raising Man-ling's child. She meets Tat-ming and they rekindle their affair. Man-ling becomes suspicious and dismisses Kwai-zhen. Kwai-zhen brings her parents to Man-ling's home on the occasion of her baby reaching one month old, and the truth becomes known that the two are in fact twin sisters. An angry Man-ling runs off but falls down the stairs. Before she dies, she asks forgiveness from her parents and instructs her sister to look after her baby. (Extracted from the film brochure.)
