内容介绍 :	In 1900, China suffers from foreign aggression and internal turmoil. The UK accuses the Ching dynasty for murdering its official and demands the Ching emperor to humbly apologize for his offence. Emperor Kwong-shui is controlled by Empress Dowager and dare not rebel against her. Courtier Li Hung-chang is unable to resolve the trouble despite continuous negotiations with the foreigners. As a result, eunuch Lee suggests finding a fake emperor so as to preserve the dignity of the real emperor. Hair stylist Ma Bin is good at kung fu and will get married with Siu-hung very soon. But because he looks like the emperor, he is caught by the imperial guard. After he has been taken into the imperial palace, he is served by Siu Chun-tze and they have harmonious relations. Empress has selected Ma as the emperor's substitute and orders him to be trained. The intelligent Ma wins the favor of Empress and he immediately asks to be allowed to meet Siu-hung. The two of them can reunite finally. Feeling unhappy at Ma being the apple of Empress's eye, Lee sets Ma as the target of criticism on every occasion. Ma runs about aimlessly in the palace and is nearly executed by Emperor Kwong-shui. But he is saved by Empress. Ma receives and humiliates foreign ambassadors. It is appreciated by Empress. Ma and Siu-hung secretly sneak back to his former home and are discovered by Lee, who orders them to be caught. Ma quarrels with Empress on the issue of making an apology to the UK. In the end, Ma decides to handle the matter in his own way. In the sacrificial ceremony, Ma succeeds in regaining dignity for the Chinese people. Refusing to resign themselves to humiliation, the foreigners start a tangled fight with Ma and his men. In the end, Ma, Siu-hung and Siu Chun-tze return to the status of ordinary citizens and wander everywhere in China .
