内容介绍 :	Little Cabbage was sold to a family in Chon-chin Town as a child bride when she was young. Her husband Ge Xiaoda is a peddler who sells soya products. One day, Da is acutely sick and Cabbage fetches the famous scholar-doctor Yang Naiwu to diagnose for her husband. Cabbage meets Wu, though mutually attracted to each other , their sentiment remains a noble one. The Yang's family has enough of the gossip and forces the two to strangle their relationship, they do not see each other again from then on. Craving for Cabbage, Zheng Renlai the son of the county magistrate, poisons Da to death. The crime is shielded by the corrupt magistrate and the blame shifted onto Wu. Wu becomes the scapegoat and he appeals in vain against the sentence. Unable to stand the torture, he finally admits the crime. Cabbage is also claimed guilty of killing her husband, both are sentenced to death. The wife of Wu appeals to the court in the capital, eventually winning Wu's acquittal. The persons involved are sentenced to death, Cabbage is granted amnesty by the Empress Dowager and thereafter leads her life as a hermit.
