内容介绍 : | On the night of the Lantern Festival, the emperor's grandson Sit Hau-chi privately leaves the home of the emperor's son-in-law and goes to watch lanterns. He sees the emperor's brother-in-law take liberties with women. As he cannot bear to see injustice, he kills the emperor's brother-in-law by mistake. The emperor's father-in-law and the royal concubine Ling cry in front of the emperor and demand Sit to be executed as a compensation for the death of the emperor's brother-in-law. The emperor's son-in-law has died early and the princess has only one son. In order to preserve the family’s offspring, the princess forces Sit to flee at night and then goes to the imperial hall alone where she confronts with the emperor's father-in-law. As the officials dare afraid of the power of the emperor's father-in-law, they dare not provide evidence against the emperor's brother-in-law who used to be a bully. The emperor has no choice but to send the princess to the imperial prison. Sit flees to General Wai's home. Wei advises him to seek temporary refuge in his home before deciding what to do in future. Later when they hear that the princess is going to be beheaded, Sit and Wai laid a plan to raid the execution ground and take her away. When the mother and son meet again, they are overwhelmed with grief. As a long-term plan, Sit later steals the general's seal at night and leads an army to attack the imperial capital. Fortunately, the princess and the general discover what he is doing and arrive in time to prevent him from taking further action. At this time, the emperor's father-in-law starts a rebellion. Both Sit and Wai have rendered meritorious service by saving the emperor. The royal concubine Ling and the emperor's father-in-law are then put in jail. Only at this time dare the officials to charge against the emperor's father-in-law and his son for committing all manner of crimes. The emperor issues an imperial decree to behead his father-in-law and acquit the princess and Sit. Sit's family can finally reunite. |
