内容介绍 :	Lau Chi-yuen and Lam Yu-heung are a pair of affectionate couple. Lam is pregnant for three months. Chow Yat-hang, the son of the county chief officer, likes to take liberties with decent women and puts Lam in a difficult position in various ways. He is rebuked bitterly by Lau. Seizing the opportunity that Lau has gone to another place for business, Chow sneaks into his home and attempts to rape Lam. Lam resists strongly and is killed by Chow. Lau's uncle reports the case to the county official, but owing to the lack of evidence, the murderer cannot be found. Ever since the murder has occurred, it is said that the nearby areas are haunted. Lam is said to appear every night and hawk a human head. The villagers are so scared that they dare not go out. When Lau has returned and learned that Lam has been murdered, he suspects that it is Chow who has committed the crime. He decides to report to the official, but the county chief officer refuses to handle the case on the pretext that it lacks evidence. One night, Lau and the villagers perform a memorial service for Lam, who appears and hands her son to Lau. She also asks him to pursue Chow and hopes that Lau will find some evidence. When Chow is looking for women at night, he is stopped by Lam on the way. He kneels down, asks for mercy and confesses to have committed murder. Lam says that she will let him go home only after he has signed the confession. When Chow has done so, Lau appears with others and they escort Chow to court. The county chief officer finds it difficult to shield his son and has no choice but to place righteousness above family loyalty. At this point, Lam speaks frankly that the deceased is only her twin sister. After the murder, she feared that Chow would cause trouble again and had no choice but to hide herself. She disguised herself at night as a ghost and went out to steal food in order to raise her son up. She had even made a plan to elicit Chow's confession and finally manages to have Chow punished according to the law. She and Lau can finally reunite.
