内容介绍 :	Ha Si-kwun is a rich young businessman who has a car accident. Before he dies, he instructs his wife, Man Tak-lin, to take another husband and to rear their child, Mang-chiu. Tak-lin leads a solitary life but loneliness compels her to eventually marry Law Bak -yuet, a cad, who forces the wife to sell off the property and to work as a laundry lady. Not content with this, Bak-yuet wants the wife to become a prostitute. One day, Tak-lin catches her husband having an affair with another woman in a hotel. She kills him in a rage and is imprisoned for 15 years. Meanwhile, Mang-chiu is forced to sleep in the streets. He is taken in by Madame Lee, a family friend of the Ha. Fourteen years later, Mang-chiu graduates from military academy and is sent to station at the border. Tak-lin is released from prison and meets Madame Lee by chance. She pleads for a re-union but Madame Lee refuses, thinking that Mang-chiu's career might be affected because of his mother. After constant pleading, Madame Lee relents. She allows Tak-lin to catch a glimpse of Mang-chiu on his wedding day. Mang chiu's effective crackdown on the bandits of the border areas causes uproars. The bandit remnants vow to kill Mang-chiu on his wedding day. Tak-lin catches the bullet meant for Mang-chiu and thus the mother dies, with a smile on her face.
