内容介绍 :	Law Ming-chun is a school teacher who meets the dance hall escort girl, Cheung Yim-yim. He falls for the aloof and detached Yim-yim soon after the dance. Law's mother wishes that Law would marry Cheung Yuen-ching, a kindly student who admires Ming-chun and serves Law's mother as if she were her own kin. Despite the mother's opposition, Law and Yim-yim live together. One day, Law's mother bumps into her son on the street weaving goodbye to Yim-yim. She finds out their apartment, reprimanding Yim-yim for seducing her son. Ming-chun thus leaves his mother to lead a life with Yim-yim. At this time, he is sacked from the school and as his mother has cut off financial aid, life becomes difficult. Worse still Ming-chun falls seriously ill and needs a large sum of money for an operation. Yim-yim goes to see his mother who agrees to give the money on condition that Yim-yim leaves Ming-chun. Yim-yim, though distressed, goes away to Singapore to resume her old profession in order to earn money to pay off her debts. In Yim-yim's absence, Yuen-ching looks after Ming-chun. As he recovers, Ming-chun falsely believes that Yim-yim has left him and resolves to marry Yuen-ching. Yim-yim returns only to learn of Ming-chun's impending marriage, and becomes distressed. Finally, Ming-chun learns the truth about Yim-yim and returns to her, as Yuen-ching graciously withdraws to allow the lovers to reunite. (Extracted from the film brochure.)
