内容介绍 :	Wu Jianhua, Li Ping (Jianhua's best friend), and Luo Lusha ( Jianhua's cousin) have so different experiences of living in a metropolitan. Li Ping is married to Hong Jialing with their daughter Xiaoling. Hong is unfaithful and becomes involved with Chen Manna. Li Ping leaves the husband and resorts to becoming a dance hall girl to make a living, leaving her daughter in the care of Wu Jianhua. As Li Ping indulges in her new dissipated lifestyle, fatality eventually takes her life. Later, the flirtatious Hong Jialing has yet another affair with Lusha. Lusha kills Chen Manna in a jealous rage and she is arrested by the police. Jianhua, not willing to rely on her uncle, moves out to live an independent life. She finds work in a handcraft workshop but in working hard, she neglects caring for Xiaoling, who dies in a car accident . Filled with remorse, Jianhua is helped by good friend Liu Guang. They open a child care centre so that working mothers may entrust their children to their place. Running into debt, they are yet pressurised by the landlord. In an attempt to mediate, Liu is killed accidentially. A devastated Jianhua nonetheless vows to carry on. (Based on viewing the film.)
