内容介绍 :	Rich landlord and widower Pak To is a miser who lives with his only daughter , Pak Fei-ha. Fei-ha admires the talented musician, Sit Tin-lai. Not letting her father know, Fei-ha goes to a nightclub with Tin-lai and friends, but the father discovers her. She lies that she is going to a party to welcome pilots of the air force. Being a snob, Pak To is impressed and decides to throw a party in his house for the pilots. Tin-lai and his friend Fung Tsak attend, disguise as air force officers, and are heartily welcomed by Pak To. During the party, Pak To agrees to have her daughter engaged to Tin-lai. Later, Pak To's cousin Pak Ko tells him the truth about Tin-lai being a poor young man since Tin-lai owes Pak Ko rent. Pak To rushes over to Tin-lai's place to settle accounts but cannot find him. Instead, he meets Tin-lai's sister Bik-mui and falls in love with her at first sight. Now, Fei-ha feigns madness in order to force her father to let her marry Tin-lai. Pak To pretends to agree. On the eve of their wedding, Pak To sends Pak Ko over to Tin-lai in an attempt to have Tin-lai drugged so that he may not turn up for his own wedding. When Fei-ha learns of the plot, Pak To demands that Tin-lai offer betrothal gifts for the bride. To help his brother, Pik-mui agrees to marry Pak To. Pak To's betrothal gifts for Pik- mui is then used by Tin-lai as his gifts to Fei-ha. Defeated, Pak To finally agrees to let his daughter's wedding proceed. As for his own wedding to Pik-mui, a trick has been played on the old man since Pik -mui has post-dated the wedding date to thirty years later. (Extracted from the film brochure)
