内容介绍 :	Tang Man-mei (stage name Siu Ming-sing) lost her father when she was young. Interested in music, she starts singing at the age of 12. A music master takes her under his wing and composes for her. Being successful, she is wooed by many admirers, but she reserves her affections for Chan Shing-moon, the son of a rich man. However, Sing-moon's father is against the marriage, thus the relationship ends. The Sino-Japanese War erupts. Man-mei and mother flee to Hong Kong, where she performs at the Lin Heung Stage House. She falls in love with Choi Lok-sang, a married musician. The relationship ends after a torrid romance. One day, Man-mei attends a party given by her mentor. She meets another admirer, Lee Cheuk-wang, and after a whirlwind romance, they marry. However, the marriage is on the rocks. Man-mei has an affair with songwriter Fong Tat-leung. Her husband discovers the affair and leaves her. The war rages on. Tat-leung loses his job, forcing an ailing Man-mei to return to the stage. The illness takes its toll and she dies a disillusioned woman. (Extracted from a newspaper synopsis.)
