内容介绍 :	A young man Ho Chi-ying returns to Hong Kong after graduating as a mechanical engineer overseas. He meets his brother Chi -tat whom he has not seen for a long time. Chi-tat, the manager of a weaving mill, invites Chi-ying to work at the mill, but his wife is unhappy about this. She instructs her brother, a foreman of the mill, to assign Chi-ying the most menial of jobs. On Chi-tat's birthday party, Chi-ying is invited to the house but is snubbed. Chi-ying goes to the garden where he pours out his feelings in a song. Lai -sheung, daughter of a company director Chan, overhears the song and is moved by the lyrics. The two become close friends. Lai-sheung tells Chi-tat of Chi-ying's grievances. An angry Chi-tat scolds the foreman severely, and promotes Chi-ying as supervisor. Chi-ying recommends Lai-sheung as the accountant of the mill, but Lai-sheung's stepmother and George Kwok, her suitor, are against her going to work. On Lai-sheung's birthday, she rejects a date with George but hosts a party with six female colleagues at the factory dormitory. Chi-ying and a fellow worker, Fatty Kau, come to join the party. On the next day, Chi-ying is fired for violating the in-house rule of the mill by entering the women's dormitory. Lai-sheung knows that George schemes to have Chi-ying dismissed, but she can do nothing as she is kept at home by her parents. Chi-ying finds a job at an abattoir but cannot get his mind off Lai-sheung. Finally, with the help of her "six sisters" in the factory, Lai-sheung manages to escape and reunite with Chi-ying on the seventh night of the seventh moon. (Based on viewing of the film. )
