内容介绍 :	Siu Bo-yee is forced to become a dance hall hostess, as her father Pak Kwai is seriously ill. Trying to keep herself chaste in a world of exploitation, Siu Bo-yee is treated coldly by her boss Lam Kam-fung. Meanwhile, Siu Bo-yee's childhood sweetheart Ah Ngau, an orphan brought up by Doctor Au, has grown up and takes care of the poor. However, since he has a bad memory of Kam-fung exploiting him when he was a child, he harbours a hatred for dance hall. Kam-fung eventually gets Siu Bo-yee to seduce her old flame Lee Sing. Unable to pay off her debts, Siu Bo-yee submits herself to the man. One day, Bo-yee's father sees her going into a dance hall with Sing, and comes forward to stop her. But Sing beats him up and makes his health rapidly deteriorate. Bo-yee's mother and brother Wai-yee disown her, thinking that she has willingly degraded herself. Following her pregnancy , Lee Sing jilts Bo-yee. She suffers a miscarriage, but she is cheered and encouraged by Ah Ngau and resolves to turn over a new leaf with new hopes.
