内容介绍 :	Madam Cui, her son Foon-long, and daughter Ang-ang, live in a villa on the city outskirts, tending to the property left by her late husband. Desiring the beautiful Ang-ang. Cheng Hang, Madam Cui's nephew, comes up with a plan to save Ang-ang from the hands of a gang of thugs that he has hired, so that this may impress Madam Cui who may then agree to let her daughter marry him. However, the plan fails when Cheung Kwun-shui, a novel writer, beats off the thugs with help of his friend To Kok, an inspector. Having saved the beautiful Ang-ang, Kwun-shui now cannot take his mind off her. When Kok arranges for Kwun-shui to stay in his villa to write his novel, Kwun-shui is delighted to see Ang-ang nearby. With the help of Ang-ang's maid, Hung-neung, as a go-between, Kwun-shui starts his courting. Ang-ang soon discovers that Kwun- shui is none but the author she admires and the two fall in love. Kwun-shui once again saves Ang-ang from another plot of Cheng Hang, which makes Madam Chui agree in principle to their marriage. However, Madam Cui goes back on her word when she realises that Kwun-shui is poor. Kwun-shui falls ill after receiving the blow. Hung-neung arranges to bring the two lovers together, but their meeting is discovered by Foon-long who then informs his mother. Hung-neung is brought before Madam Cui and is submitted to harsh interrogation but she courageously turns the table on her, accusing Madam Cui of going back on her word. Hung-neung urges her to give consent to the marriage of Ang-ang and Kwun-shui. After careful thoughts, Madam Cui relents, summoning Kwun-shui to give him a piece of her mind, and then gives her blessing to their marriage. (Extracted from the film brochure.)
