内容介绍 : | Tin-tso, son of the rich man Fung Tin-tso, falls in love with a songstress Ling Siu-fung, against the wishes of his father Tak-lam who favours matching him with cousin To Lei -lei. The father is so angry that he falls ill. Tak-lam hates songstress, since Tin-tso's mother, Lau Suet-mui, used to be one. After giving birth to her son, Suet-mui's ex-husband, released from prison, extorted money from Tak-lam and took Suet-mui away. When Tak-lam goes to Southeast Asia to nurse his health, Tin-tso asks the housekeeper, Kam Leung, for money to organise a troupe to advance Siu-fung's career. When Tak-lam learns about this, he returns to banish Tin-tso from the family. The troupe runs into financial difficulties. After Siu-fung gives birth to a daughter Fung-nui, she loses her voice. Tin-tso works so hard that he become ill. The family experiences extreme hardships. Siu-fung goes to see Tak-lam, asking him for help, but is rejected by the old man. Kam Leung advises Siu-fung to let her young daughter stay in the Fung household as a maid. Fung-nui is a lovely child and wins over the old man's heart. Kam Leung tells the old man that Fung-nui is in fact his granddaughter, and that Tin-tso is seriously ill. Tak-lam arranges for Tin-tso to be hospitalised. Father and son are thus reconciled.
