内容介绍 : | Yat-cheung Hung is a young and impetuous dance hall hostess. She tricks a rich patron Third Young Master Wong of a diamond ring and as a result, is beaten up by him at the dance hall. Young waiter Ah Tung comes to her defence but this results in his dismissal. Hung is hospitalised. Ah Tung asks around for help on her behalf but no one comes forward with any assistance. Having no means to pay her hospital bills, she has to pawn the diamond ring and takes a temporary residence at Ah Tung's home. Used to an extravagant lifestyle, Hung becomes increasingly impatient with her surroundings. Neither does she appreciate Ah Tung's love for her. To satisfy her insatiable demands, Ah Tung turns to pickpocketing, and is eventually caught red-handed at Doctor Cheung's clinic. Doctor Cheung desists from handing Ah Tung to the police when he is told of Cheung-hung's plight. The doctor begins to treat Cheung-hung free of charge until she recovers, and this makes Doctor Cheung's wife, Lucy, suspicious. To dispel Lucy's suspicions, the doctor invites Cheung-hung to Lucy's birthday party. Hung now complains of having no jewellery to wear when attending the party. Hence, Ah Tung steals Lucy's pearl chain. When Lucy sees the pearl chain on Hung, her suspicions deepens. An angry Lucy runs away to the dance hall where she is tricked by Third Young Master Wong to spend a night at his villa. Ah Tung breaks into the villa to save Lucy, and kills Wong in a struggle. Ah Tung is arrested and jailed. Doctor Cheung and Lucy promise to look after Hung. Realising the wrong that she has caused others, Hung decides to turn over a new leaf and wait for Ah Tung.
