内容介绍 : | Wu Yau-to is the manager of the To Lei Company. On the surface, the married Yau-to keeps up a sanctimonious image, but in fact, he is enamoured of opera star Fong Siu-hung and becomes an eager suitor. Yau-to's son Tai-hung is a keen student of the martial arts and dislikes business. Daughter Yuk-sheung has just returned from studying overseas, and recommends herself to be employed in her father's company. Accountant Ho So-wai is asked to supervise Yuk-sheung. However, So-wai is a woman-hater and finds Yuk-sheung's diligence hard to swallow. So-wai's cousin Ling Tin-chi is a scenarist working for the drama troupe. Tin-chi is to depart for Macau, and Siu-hung and actor But Yu-fei are offering them a farewell dinner. So-wai is invited and meets Siu-hung for the first time, with both expressing an interest in each other. Tai-hung, also present, is attracted by Siu-hung's sister, Siu-keung. Due to his burgeoning intimacy with Siu-hung, So-wai loses his hatred of women. One evening, Yau-to calls on Siu-hung, who gets drunk. When Yau-to brings her back to the hotel, he meets his wife and daughter Yuk-sheung who are, by chance, taking supper there. Extricating himself from the predicament, Yau-to pushes Siu-hung to So-wai's arms, forcing So-wai to carry Siu-hung back to her room. The next day, Siu-keung goes to Yau-to's office in search of her sister. Mrs Wu also arrives to question her husband further about the affair. Siu-hung confirms that So-wai is not to blame and promises to marry him. Tai-hung and Siu-keung announce their plans to marry, as do Yuk-sheung and Tin-chi. (Based on viewing of the film.) |
