内容介绍 :	Hon Kong-leng is the chief accountant of a company. When his wife, Man-na, is about to give birth, he misappropriates $300 from the company fund to make ends meet. This misdeed is discovered by Tso Mong-ko, the manager's nephew, and Kong-leng is dismissed. The family experiences hard times, but Man-na's sister, Mei-na, introduces a job to her. The hiring company turns out to be Kong-leng's old company, where Mong-ko is now supervisor. The arrogant Mong-ko sets about to seduce Man-na, taking her out on every pretext to the nightclub "Never Ending Night." With a sick mother and baby to take care of, the frustrated Kong-leng goes to the nightclub to look for his wife, and gets into an argument with Mong-ko. Kong-leng increasingly resents his wife, believing that she is shirking her duties to pursue vain pleasures . Man-na eventually leaves Kong-leng. After her departure, Kong-leng's mother dies. He drowns his depression in alcohol, becoming a regular presence at "Never Ending Night." There, Kong-leng meets an old classmate, Sze Lo -ping. With Lo-ping's advice and support, Kong-leng gets a new lease on life, making a success of himself in the world of financial speculation. He plans to get even with Mong-ko by exposing a scandal in which the latter has peculated the company's money. Kong-leng meets Mong-ko again at "Never Ending Night." A quarrel breaks out whereby Kong-leng pushes Mong-ko into the path of an approaching car. Mong-ko is killed. Kong-leng is imprisoned, but this leads to a reconciliation between him and Man-na. Man-na promises to wait for her husband to be released. (Extracted from the film novel.)
