内容介绍 : | What things can you "remember"? Through the use of technical devices, we can still capture happenings in photos, movies, videos, and computers but what if these things break down? Then what? Please switch off all electronic devices before the plane takes off! |
备注 : | Director's Note : Visions are commonly documented by photography, film, video, and computer technologies These recordings manifest into represntation of the "past" and/or "memories" Technological intervention plays an increasingly significant role in the process of remembering If memories are largely built in terms of these technological means, then the accessibility and qualities of memories are manipulated also through technology If technological representations assume themselves as "memories", then what happens when these systems become faulty? If these processes of remembering are liable to fail, then memories too could be the results of a failed machanism The film questions the idea of memory as experienced through technology and technological communication The failure of technology is parallel to the plausible faults in remembering Playing with the language of modern technology, the film further parodies the technological efficiency of memory by juxtaposing hand-made techniques with techno |
