内容介绍 :	Yan Xingtang works at a newspaper with a paltry salary that is just enough to feed his family. He has seven children with his wife busy taking care of the family, they are lax in disciplining them. The children all have different personalities. The eldest daughter Daming, is in middle school and hankers after material things; the second son "Little Puss" Er-mao loves working on machines; the third daughter "Baby Puss" San-mao is a glutton ; the fourth is Si-niu the "Baby Buffalo" a temperamental boy, gets into frequent spats; the fifth son Hu-er the "Baby Tiger" loves art; the sixth son Long-er the "Baby Dragon" plays all day long ; and the youngest daughter "Full House" Ke-men, literally a cry baby. They turn the house into a raucous mess and the Yans are clueless to how to handle them. Most of Daming's fellow students ride bicycles to school and she longs for her own set of wheels. When her request for a bike is turned down by the father, she decides to skip school, afraid that other students would laugh at her. When Er- mao knows about his sister's problem, he manages to borrow a bike from his girlfriend Lucy. Daming wrecks the bicycle when she takes up the challenge to race it with a fellow student. Er-mao tries to fix it but ends up making things worse. They eventually have to seek the service of a repairman, which costs them $30.00. Their scheme becomes known to the parents, who are fored to foot the bill. Si-niu gets into a fight but the family is unable to pay for the medical bills . The crisis is solved when they get help from their good friend Uncle Chang. Finally, Daming transfers to a good school and gradually learns to drop her former ways. She also takes up the responsibility of looking after her brothers and sisters. With the help of Uncle Zhang (Ping Fan), the children are finally put on the right path. (Continued in the Sequel)
