内容介绍 :	In Shanghai, 1941, Jin-mei is raped by two Japanese soldiers. With the help of Madam Li and the forgiveness of her husband, Mei gives up the idea of committing suicide. Yu-liang is Madam Li's best friend and she supports her charitable work financially. Liang's ex-husband leaves her and their daughter to fight the Japanese. Liang then marries a merchant named Wang. Liang meets her ex-husband again, and the Japanese army arrests her. Though Wang successfully saves Liang, the Japanese force him to work for them. Then, Wang works very hard to climb high in society, he finally dumps Leung to marry a girl who has cordial relations with the Japanese. On the other hand, Mei's husband has a fight with those who laugh at his wife being raped by the Japanese. He is attacked and becomes blind. From then on, Mei has to become a prostitute to earn a living, and her husband understands her. Madam Li continues her work to revolt against the Japanese and help abused women. It is hoped that Chinese people's hardships and their persistence in fighting the war is reflected through these 3 women's stories.
