内容介绍 :	Fifth Lady is the daughter of the humble concubine of the Yang family, once powerful landowners now on the decline. She is abused and forced into hard labour by her brother Jin Yuan, a chronic gambler. When childhood friend A Tian returns to the village and works at the family, he strikes a romantic spark with Fifth Lady. Jin forces the tenant Seventh Aunt to sell her daughter Second Lady into marriage with the consumption-plagued son of an affluent family in order to claim the betrothal money and gifts. When the family wealth quickly dissipated, Jin targets Fifth Lady for his next victim. The lovers' elopement is thwarted when Jin frames Tian for leading rebellious troops and orders his capture. Tian has a lucky escape but Fifth Lady is thrown into confinement. Second Lady, trapped in a miserable marriage, risks her life to help Fifth Lady and Tian flee. Jin's unrelenting pursuit finally leads to his fatal fall into the roaring seas .
