内容介绍 :	Zhang Yipeng was a native of Huayuan, Guangzhou, Upon completion of grade school, he was awarded with a government sponsored "Dillgent Students" scholarship and sent to study in Lyons, France. This exposure to western thinking created an admiration in Zhang of Western law and order. Zhang returned to Guangzhou and worked for two years at the Huangpu Army Academy Up north, Shanghai posted a front of prosperity but was actually run by gangsters led by Du Yuesheng. In 1926, Zhang was sent to Shanghai to become the first commissioner for the Prohibition of Opium, declaring war an drug traffickers. As soon as they got off the train in Shanghai, Susu had her purse pickpocketed by a kid. Shandong Cat, an aide and opium addict, was the only person sent to meet them. That night, the Shanghai Police Captain Huang Jinrong hosted a dinner for Zhang and Susu. Huang and his wife offered to be the host family for Zhang and Susu in Shanghai. Huang hinted to Zhang that one would get rich as long as one worked with the system, not against it. Zhang was tipped off on the arrival of a shipment of opium and brought his squad to the pier. About docked. Zhang jumped on board and discovered a secret compartment with a box inside. One of Zhang's men bumped Zhang overboard. Zhang, a bad swimmer , was almost drowned. He was saved by a brave man nicknamed Manzhou Coolie. The secret box was recovered from the water but was found to contain only sugar. Shangdong Cat, acting as Susu's bodyguard, was totally useless without opium in his system. Du's crooks eyed him as a traitor and beat the daylight out of him. At another section of the hospital, Du was inaugurating its drug clinic. Zhang bargrd in and almost pulled his gun on Du. Wu stopped Zhang, saving him from being shot by Du's henchmen.
