内容介绍 :	Shui is compelled by his mother to marry his cousin though his real lover is the maidservant Chen. Shui elopes with Chen , who is caught and banished. Chen is taken under the wing of Shui's male cousin and becomes a renowned stage actress. The cousin arranges for Chen and Shui to act in the emotive play Emperor Guangxu's Nocturnal Sacrifice to Concubine Zhen which moves Shui's mother into giving consent to their marriage.
