内容介绍 : | Xiaomei has never met her birth father and only learns that she is an adopted child during an argument between her adopted mother and her frustrated husband returning home after losing his job due to an injury. The following day Xiaomei is sent back to the orphanage. Old vagabond artist Wei Lanting offers to take her in, providing her with education and cherishing her like his own daughter. But Xiaomei loses her refuge again when Wei is put in prison for a criminal offence. The wife of Cabinet Minister Gan adopts her and nurtures her with unconditional love, and only later does Xiaomei learn the tender and loving woman is grieving over her missing child. She invites Wei to be her guest upon his release from prison but the strong-willed and defiant old man turns her down and subsequently collapses in the fierce snowstorm. In his dying moments, he expresses his regrets for taking Xiaomei away from the Gan residence. Xiaomei survives the calamity, pulls herself together to bury the old man and embarks on a quest to find her missing mother. |
