内容介绍 : | Lee Wai-ching has no means to pay for her mother's burial and is hoaxed and sold to the elderly official Yeung Si-sum as his concubine. The elderly housekeeper Uncle To saves Lee from swallowing poison when the truth is known and sends the fabricated news of Lee's death to Yeung in the capital. Assuming a new name Siu-hung, Lee flees back to her native village. But pestered by Kong Chau-fan , son of the minister of justice, whom she meets on the way, Lee is captured by Yeung's aide. Yeung interrogates To and Siu-hung for Lee's death, and forces her to dig up the body. Misled into cracking open the grave of prime minister's wife, Yeung is taken to the criminal office. Lee's freedom is traded for a lenient sentence. The lovers are free to marry. (Quoted from DVD cover) |
