| 内容介绍 : | Tavern girl Lo Suet-yee is in love with Wong Kam-cheung and rejects the suit of official's son Mo Shing-yee. In retaliation, Mo accused Wong of plotting a revolt. Aided by their good friend Ching Wai-tak , the lovers flee back to Wong's native village and get married. The couple raise a daughter named Ngan-ling. Soon Mo leads his troops to capture Wong, who escapes to safety and devotes to studying for the imperial exams. Stricken with illness and poverty , Lo is forced to marry a retired eunuch Ma Chiu-sing and leaves the daughter in Ching's care. 15 years pass and Wong has become the inspector-general. He visits Ching but the daughter becomes infatuated with the visitor. Ching recounts the saga of Lo's misfortunes and with her setting free by an understanding Ma, the family is finally reunited.
