内容介绍 : | Minor staff Zhao Yongsheng and his wife He Yuzhen are struggling to cope with the festive season financially. The impoverished couple is soon joined by Yongsheng's mother and younger brother Yongchang whose house is devastated in a fire. Then worse comes to the worst: Zhao gets the sack. Concealing the news from his family, he puts on a bold front and goes hunting for a job. The harsh reality dawns on He, inadvertently. She and her mother work from home while Yongchang earns his bread as coolie at the pier. Rows and fights become commonplace in the once harmonious family under the overwhelming pressure of life. He collapses from exhaustion; Zhao is mistaken for a pickpocket and gets beaten up. As the year comes to a close, Zhao's mother overcomes her prejudice towards her daughter-in-law and gathers the family together for a happy reunion. |
